Lisa Ciota is a strategic and financial communications executive professional with significant experience enhancing and protecting a company’s reputation and value. Currently, Ciota serves as a Director on the Board of the DuPage Symphony Orchestra and is a Docent at the Chicago Architecture Center where she sits on that organization’s communications committee.
Ciota was president of Lead-IR Advisors, Inc., an independent investor relations consultancy, from 2016 through 2020. Previously, Ciota headed the investor and corporate relations functions at SunCoke Energy, Inc., which was ranked as among the best such programs by Institutional Investor Magazine. Between 1992 – 2010, Ciota was with McDonald’s Corporation, where she held progressively more responsible positions, eventually becoming director, investor relations.
Ciota served on the Chicago Chapter board of the National Investor Relations Institute from 2005 through 2020. During this time, she held a variety of leadership roles including chairman, president, executive vice president and vice president-programming.
Ciota has received local and national recognition for her work at both SunCoke and McDonald’s and is a two-time recipient of the National Investor Relations Institute’s national leadership award. Ciota holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois.
