Jessica Starks is the President of Transworld Business Advisors of Lansing. Starks received her Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance. Before starting her own business, she gained experience at a public accounting firm, sales with a payroll company, followed by 10 years in business banking. As her banking career advanced, she was financing buyers acquiring businesses. Jessica realized she wanted to help business owners exit their business. She found that baby boomers did not know where to turn when wanting to retire. Although she thought of mostly baby boomers, she realized that other business owners needed to exit their business as well. She wanted to give them an outlet to sell what they have worked so hard to create while leaving a legacy.

In this episode, we discuss:
• The process of business brokerage and the emotional toll it can take on everyone
• How deals take practice- don’t expect to make a sale on your first prospect
• Meeting with a business owner early in your selling process will eliminate stressful situations in a transition

I hope you will find this episode as exciting and informative as I have. Jessica is very knowledgeable of her business and the ins and outs of business brokerage. Please let me know your thoughts!
